Yamaha launches all-new 2017 FZ250 for Rs. 1,19,500

Yamaha India has launched its next big street fighter motorcycle the - Yamaha FZ25 today priced at Rs. 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike marks Yamaha entry into the fast growing quarter litre segment in India and competes with the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, KTM 200 Duke and the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS 200. Its equipment list comprises an all-digital instrument cluster, LED pilot lamps , etc..

The bike will be available in three colour options - Knight Black, Ballistic Blue, Warrior White.
The FZ25 comes with a 250cc motor that makes 20.6 bhp and 20 Nm of peak torque. It is said to offer good low-end torque.
The bike is light and agile thanks to a wet weight of just 148kg. This coupled with its bold styling and smart features should make it a capable street fighter bike.
The fuel injected engine is claimed to return a mileage of 43 kmpl, which is quite impressive compared to rivals.
The bike comes with 14-litre fuel tank
The front wheel gets a 282mm disc while the rear gets 220mm disc
The bike is priced at Rs. 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
Deliveries for the bike will begin from 1st February 2017
Powering the bike is a new 250cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke petrol motor producing 20.9 PS of power and 20 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike comes with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology and also has fuel-injection.
The new FZ250 weighs 148 kg and delivers 43 kmpl of mileage. Fuel tank capacity is 14 litres.
The bike features full LED headlamps and tail lamps. The bike is available in 3 colours – blue, white & black.
ABS is not available, even as an option. The FZ250 gets front & rear disc brakes.

Specifications:

Powering the new Yamaha FZ25 is a single-cylinder 249cc engine. It benefits from a fuel injection system. However, there’s no 6-speed gearbox and the bike gets 5 gears. Peak power of 20.9 PS is produced at 8000 RPM. Peak torque of 20 Nm comes in at 6000 RPM. Combined with a weight of just 148 KGs, the FZ25 should be one sprightly performer. The bike gets disc brakes at both wheels.

Official mileage figures stand at 43 KMPL. However, safely expect the bike to offer up to 38 KMPL on the highways in real world conditions.
